Mary Shay, born in Ontario, Canada is a predominantly self-taught artist. She has developed ideas for her artwork from having an artistic family, studying with several Artists, such as Ripalda Amuriza, famous for his unique technique in acylics, and also from traveling, living in many different countries and learning about the cultures along the way.

After leading a successful singing career and residing many years in the ingenious country of Italy, she has participated in Art events in Bilbao, Barcelona, Benalmádena, Sevilla, Madrid, and Malaga in Spain, where she presently resides and continues to evolve as an interesting, innovative, thought provoking artist.
